Program Overview
Overview - The Capital Wrestling Club (CWC) offers four types of programs outlined below. If you are interested in one of them the first step is to register. CWC also rents space to other programs. If you are participating in one of these other programs (also listed below), you should contact the program directly to register or with questions.
CWC Programs
- Wrestling Practice - this is on a regular schedule throughout the year, 4 days a week for beginner, intermediate and advanced wrestlers. There is also a weekly session for adult wrestlers. The current schedule can always be found on the Schedule tab. The practices emphasize different things throughout the year:
- August, September, October - folkstyle, preparation for the winter season, intermediate and advanced wrestlers
- November, December, January, February, March - folkstyle, wrestling introduction for novice wrestlers and in-season extra practice for intermediate and advanced wrestlers
- April, May, June, July - Freestyle and Greco for intermediate and advanced wrestlers
- Private Wrestling Lessons - Private wrestling lessons can be scheduled with any of the coaches listed on the “Staff” tab and any time during the year. Please contact the coaches directly to find out about the fees and to schedule a lesson. Their contact information can be found on the Staff tab. Each wrestler must be “registered” prior to attending a private lesson. This ensures the proper forms are completed as well as a payment method.
- Strength Training - Strength training sessions can be scheduled with Chase Lawrence whose contact information is also on teh Staff tab. Each participant must be “registered” prior to attending a private lesson. This ensures the proper forms are completed as well as a payment method.
- Special Events - This includes clinics and other special events that members and guests can register for separately.
